Lance is a Great Spear in Elden Ring. The Lance scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity, and is a good Weapon for melee users who want to perform longer-reaching piercing attacks.

Considered a type of greatspear, this weapon has no blade, but instead features a long, conical body designed to pierce.
Though heavy and hard to wield, this weapon displays its worth in horseback combat whether mounted or even on foot.

Elden Ring Lance Notes & Tips

Weapon Skill: Charge Forth
This weapon can be infused with Ashes of War and buffed with Magic and Consumables.
The Lance is the only Great Spear class weapon that can be infused with Ashes of War.
Ash of War: Waves of Darkness can be applied to this weapon despite the description never stated that it can be applied to Great Spears.
Lance is upgraded with Smithing Stones.
NOTE: As of Patch 1.09, the scaling values of this weapon were changed. Please refer to the Upgrades Table of this weapon below.
