- Weapon Skill: Wild Strikes
- This weapon can be infused with Ashes of War and buffed with Magic and Consumables
- Battle Axe can be upgraded by using Smithing Stones
- The stat is almost identical to the Highland Axe. However, the Battle Axe only has 100 Critical Damage stat and it lack the passive buff for Roars that the Highland Axe has. On the other hand, the Battle Axe has C scaling for Intelligence under Cold infusion path upon reaching +25 upgrade, whereas the Highland Axe has D scaling for Intelligence under Cold infusion path. Moreover, under Occult infusion, the Battle Axe has D scaling for Strength, whereas the the Highland Axe has E scaling for Strength.
- The Battle Axe requires one less Dexterity than the Highland Axe in order to be used, but since all classes start with at least 9 Dexterity, it doesn't matter.
- Sell Value: 100.
- NOTE: As of Patch 1.08, the speed and distance of some attacks have been increased and the recovery time has been reduced. Also the stagger damage of Axes’ guard counters has been increased. PVP's poise damage has also been reduced with this patch.
