Elden Ring Black Flame Tornado Guide, Notes & Tips

  • This is an Ash of War Skill, associated with the Ash of War: Black Flame Tornado.
  • FP Cost: 30
  • This Skill is Chargeable, but does not get a damage increase by the Godfrey Icon, charging also does not increase FP cost.
  • This Skill cannot be Parried
    • This Skill can be Parried if performed with no Focus
  • This skill deals multiple hits in a row but does not add stacks towards the effects of the Winged Sword Insignia, Rotten Winged Sword Insignia, Millicent's Prosthesis, or Thorny Cracked Tear.
  • This counts as a ranged skill which scales purely via weapon level and faith. It will not apply status build up or actually hit with the weapon. This skill deals purely fire damage.
  • Removes any applied weapon buffs upon use, even Black Flame Blade.
  • The black flame DOT is applied as a debuff that deals roughly 1.9% hp damage over 2 seconds, this debuff is re-applied each time you hit with the skill. The charged version lasts longer and will apply more ticks.
