Black Steel Greathammer is a Great Hammer in Elden Ring. It is a brand new Great Hammer in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. The Black Steel Greathammer scales primarily with Strength, Dexterity and Faith and is a good Weapon for __goodfor__.
Weapon of the Black Knights, servants of Messmer the Impaler. Greathammer of black steel with decorative embellishments in gold. Blessed with an Erdtree incantation. Further holy imbuement will amplify the effect and greatly increase the armament's power. Guard Counters cause a burst of power.

Black Steel Greathammer can be upgraded by using Smithing Stones
As the description suggests, guard-countering with this weapon also releases a gold breaker explosion which also deals holy damage. A second after the initial hit, the gold erupts dealing additional holy damage.
Despite adding a third damage type, the Flame Art infusion will result in higher damage compared to the Sacred infusion (tested with 50 str , 50 faith against SotE Black Knights who also have an higher fire defense).
