Brass Shield is a Medium Shield in Elden Ring. The Brass Shield is a Shield that scales primarily with Strength. Medium Shields feature a good balance between defense and weight, which is great for most situations in combat. Although it may not be as light as a Small Shield which is good for agility and parrying, the Standard Shield works best at reducing damage and blocking.

• Has the highest Guard Boost stat of all medium shields.
• One of the top 3 most favored medium shields, the others perhaps being Banished Knight's Shield (68 guard boost, 6 weight) and Blue-Gold Kite Shield (66 boost, 5 weight). They even exceed some of the worse greatshields (Dragonclaw Shield, 67 boost, 13.5 weight, can't even change its ability). The brass is the strongest of the bunch, but perhaps not the most weight efficient, but the difference is only going to be by a point here or there anyways -- what's going to matter is the fact that you can Golden/Carian parry, and still have enough Boost to block.
