Flail is a basic Flail in Elden Ring. The Flail scales primarily with Strength and Dexterity and is a good Weapon for extra blood loss causing effects that cannot be parried by enemies during combat.
Weapon consisting of a bludgeoning head attached to a handle by chain. The iron ball is spiked and induces blood loss.
Blows from this weapon cannot be parried. The charge attack whirls the iron ball around for increased force before striking.
Elden Ring Flail Notes & Tips
- Weapon Skill: Spinning Chain
- This weapon can be infused with Ashes of War.
- Flail can be upgraded by using Smithing Stones
- Causes Bloodloss Buildup: (50)
- Flails are great backup weapons for builds heavily invested in dexterity when coming across enemies with high resistance to slash and pierce attacks. Enemies with said resistances often have an innate weakness to strike attacks which dexterity weapons often lack, making flails a perfect backup plan for areas or bosses where dexterity users usually struggle with low damage and/or attacks bouncing off the enemies. Due to its slower attacks than most dexterity weapons, it might require some time to get used to the attack patterns, but comes with higher stagger rates than most lightweight weapons. A flail can also be used by a typical sword and board character with heavy investments into shields and armor, but going by dexterity as a main stat in place of the typical strength. As such when flails stagger an enemy, the cunning player can swiftly swap their main weapon to a dagger (such as Misericorde) with high critical stat for a finishing blow with impressive damage.
- Sell Value: 100 Runes.
