Spiked Palisade Shield is a Greatshield in Elden Ring. The Spiked Palisade Shield is a Shield that scales primarily with Strength. Greatshields weigh a decent amount and provide the best protection in the game. Greatshields provide a greater value of blocking and protecting one's self from enemy and boss attacks, but greatly increases the weight and reduces the player's mobility. This type of shield works best at reducing damage or guarding instead of parrying.
Designed to perform shield bashes, these attacks riddle the enemy with holes, earning it the nickname of "pard shield"
Elden Ring Spiked Palisade Shield Notes & Tips
- Shield Skill: Shield Bash
- This shield can be infused with Ashes of War and buffed with Magic and Consumables
- Sell Value: 200
- Greatshields cause blocked attackers to be 'flinched' very often, giving you extra windows of opportunity to escape or counter-attack with ease.
- NOTE: As of Patch 1.09, the scaling values of this weapon were changed. Please refer to the Upgrades Table of this weapon below.
- While it may seem obvious to infuse this shield with Blood to improve its inherent damage potential, it actually does not outperform any other shield when Blood-infused. Instead, a Poison infusion will allow you to increase the inherent Bleed damage (by adding Arcane scaling) while ALSO adding poison damage.
- The Shield Crash Ash of War performs well on this shield, allowing you to inflict status effects faster.
